911 Response
RURAL
Miller EMS' primary 911 response area is in Grant County, Oklahoma.
We provide 911 ambulance service to the Towns of Wakita and
Lamont . We face a special challenge in this area. We're 35 minutes
from the closest level 3 hospital and over an hour away from the
closest level 1 trauma center. A well organized EMS System is
necessary to improve the out come of injured or sick patients in
this area.
Miller EMS in cooperation with the Wakita and Lamont Fire
Departments maintain a fast and accurate EMS "system" that
incorporates emergency medical dispatching, first response, and
policies and procedures that govern how we dispatch, how we
respond and which responders are dispatched.
A fast response from a high level of care ensures our patients in our
911 area have the best chance of recovery and survival. Miller EMS
provides full time staffed ambulance coverage and paramedic level
care. We are the only ambulance service in Grant County to provide
that level of care and we are the only non-volunteer emergency
service in the county, with exception of law enforcement.
Miller EMS maintains mutual aid agreements with several fire
departments in Grant County for mutual aid and first response
purposes.
METRO
Miller EMS provides 911 back up service in the Tulsa metro area in
support of several local fire and EMS departments.
