Miller EMS maintains an open application process. Essentially we accept applications all the time however, we only interview and test as announced. Instructions for applying, including required paperwork, can be found on this page.

Employment
Interested parties may apply by downloading an application from this page, completing it
and returning it to the address below.
Applications must be accompanied by:
1. An OSBI background check. The date on the background check must be within
30 days of the date the applications is received at MEMS.
2. Resume
3. Copies of all applicable licenses or certifications including:
- Oklahoma EMT license (EMT/Paramedic applicants only)
- NREMT Card (EMT/Paramedic applicants only)
- CPR card (AHA or ARC)
- Paramedics must include copies of ACLS and PALS cards as well
- Oklahoma driver license
- EMD or other dispatch certifications (dispatch applicants only)
Application / Employment process
Submit application and all required paper work. Applications submitted without required
paper work will be immediately disqualified. It is the applicants responsibility to check
status of application. Those submitting complete applications with clean OSBI
background checks will be notified of next test / interview date. You will also be
supplied with details about the test and interview process including requirements of the
physical agility test and interview stage of the application process.
Test/Interview: Arrive promptly to your assigned test/interview date. Late arrivals,
regardless of explanation, will be disqualified. Miller EMS' headquarters and training
center is in Medford, OK. All testing and interviews take place there. Please plan your
trip to Medford so that you will arrive on time. We will gladly provide you with directions
to our facility. The test process includes a written portion and a physical portion. Dress
attire for the physical portion of the test should be athletic in nature and appropriate
for public display. Interview dress should be business casual at minimum. Test and
interview process is as follows:
- Written test
- Physical agility test (EMT/Paramedic applicants only)
- Interview
Once an applicant has successfully completed the test and interview process and is
officially considered for employment they become a candidate. The next stage is
orientation.
Orientation is held in Medford. Orientation consists of 5 days of classroom and lab
setting instruction in MEMS specific policy, protocol and operations. Candidates must
successfully complete orientation to be considered for placement into the MEMS
system. If successful, the candidate becomes a probationary employee. The
probationary employee must successfully complete the field training experience to be
considered for full field activation.
Field training experience consists of a series of FTO ride alongs on our ambulances. For
dispatchers the field training experience consists of a series of supervised work activity
in the dispatch center. The employee will continue FTE until the training division makes
a determination on their ability to become a primary field employee.
Next Test Date:
October 15th, 2011 0900 hrs at the Medford station. Applications must be
received at MEMS no later than October 10th for entry into this test
